  • Some Thoughts

Some have remarked on the slow takeup of the latest version of Android, 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich". It is now making up 7% or so of the Android installed base. That proportion already makes it more popular than Windows Phone. In 6 months, one single version of Android has managed to outsell every version of Windows Phone going back over a year and a half.

Also, Android shipments are getting close to true Windows--900,000 a day versus a million a day. But Android is growing far faster. So at some point in the next couple of months, Android is going to become the world's most popular OS.

  • Sad thing is

Apple sold more iPhone 4s' in it's first week than the total number of WP7 phones in 19 months. that includes the BOGO ones, and the warranty ones. But at least we know why Microsoft only counts license stickers, rather than activated phones. The numbers would be even smaller lol :p
