Verizon Android rumors; Fascinate and HTC EVO 4G clone coming soon

Verizon is known for their Droid lineup and will soon be adding a Galaxy S device to the mix. There are also rumors of an HTC EVO 4G-like device coming to Verizon.

T-Mobile was the carrier that launched with Android devices, but Verizon is the one who is pouring it on lately with some exciting choices such as the HTC Droid Incredible (Android 2.2 is rolling out soon), Motorola Droid X, and Motorola Droid 2. We know that they will also be the last of the four major US carriers getting a Samsung Galaxy S device and according to rumors at Boy Genius Report the Samsung Fascinate will be coming on 9 September to Verizon. It makes sense that they waited until after the Droid X and Droid 2 launches and it will be interesting seeing how the first non-Droid Android device does on Verizon. The Samsung Fascinate looks to be about the same as the T-Mobile Vibrant and AT&T Samsung Captivate, in terms of form factor and specifications.

I love my HTC EVO 4G on Sprint and am even planning to pass up the Samsung Epic 4G to keep that larger display and kickstand. It looks like Verizon Wireless customers may soon have a device similar to the EVO 4G with a 4.3 inch display and kickstand too if the latest Boy Genius Report rumors are true. This new HTC device, currently unnamed, looks very similar to the EVO 4G, but even looks a bit more refined. The rumors state it also has the same 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and a front facing camera. It may even be a global device with a SIM card for international travel.
