Here's another reason not to buy a 15-inch MacBook Pro right now. A fresh rumor from the UK claims that Apple will be releasing a 15-inch MacBook Air as soon as next month, which could prove popular among buyers looking for an Air with a bigger screen.
British website Electricpig says it spoke with a MacBook accessory provider, which says the 15-inch Air will ship without an optical drive and Ethernet connection, but will feature ports along each side of the laptop. While this unnamed source is "a key player in MacBook docking solutions," Apple is notorious for keeping third parties in the dark about future plans, so I wouldn't necessary take this info to the bank.
Then again, this isn't the first time we've heard that about a larger MacBook Air being in the works. And the April time frame potentially lines up with Intel's launch of its new Ivy Bridge CPUs for notebooks.
Considering that the starting price for a 13-inch MacBook Air is $1,299, a 15-inch version won't come cheap. Would you be in the market for a larger MacBook Air? Let us know in the Comments section below.
