Release date pushed back a month for AMD Bulldozer desktop processors

Though no official word has been given by AMD about release dates at all, there is speculation that delays may be related in part to tweaking to improve performance for the all-important launch reviews testing. There's also chatter about the company being able to initially produce enough chips to match demand.

While the wait will drag on for those ready to pounce on the new CPUs, the good news is that AMD is expanding the number of Zambezi offerings with which it will launch. There will now be four different eight-core FX processors, a six-core one, and a pair of quad-cores from which to choose, whenever Bulldozer ever does come to the desktop.
