Awesome hack for Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 flaw

This is the cleverest solution I've seen to the one thing that annoys me about the otherwise-fabulous Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 (i.e., that ridiculous lens cap).

This is the cleverest solution I've seen to the one thing that annoys me about the otherwise-fabulous Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 (i.e., that ridiculous lens cap). Kudos to Malaysian blogger Ian Ho for figuring out that with a little pressure (and a little double-sided foam tape), you can pop the Ricoh LC-1 self-retaining lens cap (made for the Ricoh GX200 and Caplio GX100 cameras) onto the LX3 and have yourself a nice retractable lens cap instead of the Panasonic lens cap that you are sure to lose. Okay, so as CNET's Leonard Goh points out, you may void your Panasonic warranty, but I might just be willing to take that risk than live with a dangling (or lost) lens cap on an otherwise sleek package!
