The Internet is abuzz with yesterday's announcement that networking giant Cisco Systems has acquired Pure Digital, maker of everyone's favorite camcorder (four out of the five bestselling digital camcorders on Amazon as of today are Flip models).  The $590 million question, though, is whether Cisco ownership will drive continued consumer innovation for the Flip (pitting Cisco against Apple in a war for your living room) or turn it into a bandwidth-sucking enterprise collaboration tool.

Personally, I agree with our own Larry Dignan: Cisco doesn't care where the bandwidth gets hogged--boardroom or living room--so long as "all roads lead to the router, switches and the fancy new servers)."

What about you?
