Rounding out the Fujifilm releases today is the FinePix F300EXR, which packs a lot of punch considering its tiny frame.

Given the specs on the F300EXR, there are already comparisons being made between this compact shooter and DSLRs. This FinePix camera boasts 15x optical zoom on that 24mm wide lens, ISO up to 12800, and a 12-megapixel Super CCD EXR sensor. Wow.

Like the Z800EXR, the F300EXR also uses a hybrid AF system, and it includes a gyro sensor for improved image stabilization.

Preset functions are less of a focus on this Fujifilm camera, although there are definitely plenty to choose from. That includes 360? panorama, Super Intelligent Flash and a host of basic location and subject modes. For the more advanced photographer choosing to travel light with this model, there are also five different "film" options for a more old-school look: vivid, soft, sepia, black & white, and standard.

All of that can be checked out on the 3-inch LCD screen (460K pixel resolution), although the controls are reserved still for buttons off to the side.

The FinePix F300EXR will be available in late August for $329.95.
