Kodak has entered CES 2010 with a bundle of new releases, starting with this super sleek and suave SLICE touchscreen digital camera. Honestly, I don’t find many cameras to be sexy, but this one certainly is.

One of the selling point of this camera is the 3.5-inch 16:9 touchscreen LCD with anti-reflective coating. SLICE also boasts a 14-megapixel CCD sensor, 5X SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH lens and built-in optical image stabilization.

Other preset features on the the Kodak pocket cam include:

  • Search Feature and Face Recognition
  • Share Button for quicker upload to Facebook, Kodak Gallery, Flickr, YouTube sites and e-mail
  • Can store up to 5,000 HD pictures
  • Smart Capture feature (analyzes scenes and auto adjusts camera settings to the surroundings)
  • Records 720p HD video clips at 30 fps
  • Comes in black, nickel and radish

While I was in love with the modern-mixed-with-a-hint-of-retro look, I was also nervous upon first sight that it would be all looks. (Design was essential with this point-and-shoot as some of its accessories’ looks were part of a design contest sponsored by Kodak at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology.) But this camera is not too shabby.

The price point might be a little high, starting at $349.95, and it will ONLY be available at Best Buy when it hits shelves this April. A little annoying, but it will probably open up to other retailers soon after, hopefully making the price a little more competitive.
