If you’ve been desperately awaiting news about Panasonic’s DMC-FX75 compact camera, you’ll be happy to know that pricing and availability have finally been announced.

As reported by Janice Chen last week, the 14-megapixel DMC-FX75 is extra special with its 24mm ultra-wide-angle F2.2 Leica zoom lens.

As a refresher, some of the other standout features on Panasonic’s latest compact camera are the 3.0-inch LCD touchscreen (230,000 dots), 720p HD video recording in AVCHD Lite and Motion JPEG formats, 5x optical zoom and use of Intelligent Auto features while in movie mode.

All of this will be available in mid-July in black and silver editions with a starting price of $299.95. Think you might pick one up this summer?
