The pocket camcorder market is getting crowded with some new entries today, and the latest is Samsung’s HMX-E10.

The HMX-E10 is an ultra-slim camcorder that can record full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) video in H.264 format with the 1/3.2-inch CMOS sensor. Photographers can also squeeze out 8.0-megapixel stills.

The more notable feature on this recorder is the 270-degree swiveling lens, opening up the viewpoint far more than comparable mini-camcorders can.

As for the other important stuff, here’s the rundown:

  • 2.7-inch LCD touchscreen
  • 2x digital zoom
  • One-touch uploading to YouTube
  • microSD card slot
  • Connectivity: USB 2.0, HDMI
  • Preset Modes: Panorama, Miniature, Vignetting, Defog, Sketch

Available in ivory and black, the Samsung HMX-E10 will be available in September for the friendly price of $199.99.

I think is good to have another choice of pocket camcorder from which to choose... I've been a fan of Samsung and it's great to see the company never stop in its innovation to satisfy its fan. Cheers!
