Low Carbon on the Golf Links

The Ricoh Women's British Open is one of the four Majors in Women's Golf, and the only Major played outside of the USA. Steeped in history, with a winners list that reads like a 'who's who' of women's golf. Ricoh aimed for a low carbon footprint at the tournament in all areas of document production. All of the printers used for the event were set for high energy efficiency, and members of the media were instructed to minimize printing whenever possible.

Are Paper Laws Coming to a Country Near You?

In a mere 22 months, it will be law to use verified legal timber product sourcing, including pulp and paper, within the European Union (EU). The Regulation covers a broad range of timber products including solid wood products, flooring, plywood, pulp, and paper. Interestingly though, not included among a few other products such as rattan and bamboo are recycled products and printed papers such as books, magazines, and newspapers.
