Now, in addition to being able to tag your friends in photos, you can also tag photos with any Facebook pages that you currently “Like”. The good news (for brands anyway) is that their feed activity will now be heightened by a proliferation of the millions of personal photos potentially. The more obnoxious byproduct possibility is that the trail of tagging activity in people’s feeds could be overkill.
I’m pretty sure alcohol manufacturers will see a brand page tagging surge in their feeds from the college student demographic almost immediately. Now that I think about it, it’ll be an interesting data set for brands to see how many of their products end up in Facebook photos. What do you think?
