I enjoy being a journalist and reporting on the business and culture of Silicon Valley. Most of my reporting is done the traditional way, with a notepad and pencil. Increasingly journalists have to do more, carry a camera, do podcasts, run video. Software engineers have to learn new languages, development tools, etc, all the time. Yet most journalists can barely type, and they certainly can't spell without spell checkers. I've been shooting a lot of video over the past year and enjoying learning some new skills. This September I want to package up some of my daily video into a weekly roundup report "Fridays with Foremski." Here is a taste of what you'll see: interviews with top execs such as Cisco's Dan Scheinman; thought leaders such as Irving Wladawsky-Berger from IBM, Sean Maloney from Intel; pioneers such as Judy Estrin from JLabs; and the startups, personalities, and the young developers, that have helped to create, and continue to create, this unique place. Here is a small sample of my life in Silicon Valley and beyond . . . a taste of what to expect from me in the future.
