iPhone sales have fallen off dramatically as we've come closer to June, just as they always do. Everyone who wanted an iPhone and wasn't naive about Apple's usual cycle didn't buy... they waited. And as with any smartphone, there are gadget freaks who demand the latest and greatest. If you're already sold on the iPhone (and yes, the vast majority of their recording-breaking iPhone sales were upgrades), you're going to want the iPhone 4. Period. No discussion needed.
As for features and Android comparisons, that's where the iPhonies need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid and listening to Steve Jobs' marketroid speak. For one, multitasking: real multitasking doesn't run your battery down. Sure, it's technically possible for a flawed app to do this. It's also technically possible for a flawed app to run your iPhone battery down, just single tasking. In practice, it never happens. In practice, my Droid not only lasts all day, but it consistently outlasts the iPhones around me. And if it did run down, and there's no USB socket handy, I have a spare battery.. no problem.
Then there's Flash... it's not just the video thing, but even there, today, in 2010, most Flash video is H.264, and it'll work exactly like H.264 from YouTube, HTML5, or any other source... it's not going to run down your battery any more or less than that. As for ActionScript code, like it or not, it's needed for a full web experience, and it's no more or less power hungry than JavaScript or other similar web technologies. Steve Jobs doesn't give a damn about your Flash performance, he just wants to shut off the demand for Flash. The real reason he doesn't want it is the usual: unlike HTML5, Flash enables a video DRM that Apple doesn't control. Jobs wants Apple to be the only entity that can sell you video for your iPhone.
And while there are many, one final thing: Android works 100% without ever being hooked to a PC of any kind (Windows, Mac, or Linux) if you don't want to dock. Everything syncs wirelessly, in the background.... and not just Google apps, anyone's can. If you want to dock with a PC, it'll dock with a PC, any kind (eg, Windows, Mac, Linux... or for that matter, another Android device).
