AT&T refreshes U-verse Mobile app for iPhone

AT&T has revamped its U-verse app with a new name (”U-verse Mobile“), some extra channels, and the ability to save selected programs to an iPhone.

U-verse Mobile brings the power of DVR to the iPhone (plus the iPod touch and iPad). U-verse subscribers can use their iPhone as a remote to manage recordings, view channel listings and now download episodes of specified shows via Wi-Fi for watching anywhere. (Someone over there really likes Grey’s Anatomy as it pops up on nearly every screenshot posted to the app page on iTunes.)

Note that U-verse access starts at $29 per month, and only select packages have downloading via Wi-Fi support. By contrast, the Sling Media app for the iPhone is just a single $29.99 fee (plus $150 for the box for starters). But you can’t download programming from it and the connection can be spotty at times. So it depends how much you need or love your TV shows.

The U-verse Mobile app is free and available for downloading from iTunes now.

Well I would say that U-verse has somewhat of an idea. I work over at DISH Network. I have my Ipad/Iphone hooked up to the Sling box and they work great. The app from DISH is free so there are no other charges. I can watch all my paid programming from home on the road. There is no worry that I have to load movies or shows or anything since I can watch live or off my DVR. Find out more on this awesome product and true TV Everywhere by contacting DISH Network.
