Barnes & Noble Nook e-reader already in Best Buy's online store

Summary: While it was predicted that Best Buy would start carrying the Barnes & Noble Nook e-book reader on April 18, it looks like they’re getting started with it early.

While it was predicted that Best Buy would start carrying the Barnes & Noble Nook e-book reader on April 18, it looks like they’re getting started with it early.

Best Buy is now carrying the Nook in their online store for $259, the same price as on B&N’s website. But over at B&N, you get free shipping. However, Best Buy charges a minimum of $6.99 to cover shipping costs, so if you can, try to opt for the in-store pick-up option when that becomes available (maybe on April 18).

I just talked to the Best Buy store here in Lincoln NE
and they told me that they would have the Nooks on the
shelves on April 22nd which is when the trucks come in
with stock.

I have not seen the Nook at Best Buy. I did buy one from Barnes and Noble and would not recommend the product. The first one lasted a little over two weeks before the screen shattered from the inside. The replacement Nook lasted only ten days before the screen completely froze. We could not get the money back so we had to take store credit. I believe there are still some bugs to be worked out on this device.
