Boxee Box release pushed back to November

If you’ve been waiting for the upcoming release of the Boxee Box, you’re going to have to hold on as the product isn’t ready yet. So much for being released in the first half of 2010.

First announced last year and then put out on display at CES 2010, the Boxee Box is a Internet-enabled media center that brings movies, TV shows, music and photos to an HDTV via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Developers have now pushed back the launch date to an unspecified date in November in the United States and Canada. There isn’t much reason as to the delay except that the original game plan was “overly ambitious.”

There’s no mention about pricing yet, but hopefully they’ll stick with that “under $200″ range that was mentioned at CES.

Yep, they're probably just waiting for the dust to settle: hulu on XBox 360, new and improved Apple TV, Roku box and all. There's just way too much streaming video tech out there just vying for attention.
