Creative has a pair of new Sound Blaster Tactic headsets that might come in handy for the 3D gaming experience: the Alpha and Sigma.

Both headsets incorporate THX TruStudio Pro technology with 360 degree surround sound and customizable profiles to truly immerse the game player in all that is 3D. Going above the “limitations of typical 5.1 and 7.1 headsets,” users can hear voices and sounds from every direction. Sounds a bit snooty, but also awesome.

Gamers should also be able to communicate to each other more clearly with that detachable noise-cancelling microphone and THX TruStudio Pro Dialog Plus technology.

Some of the specs that make all of this happen include 40mm Neodymium drivers, programmable VoiceFX, and a dual-mode USB 2.0 adapter for analog mode. All of this sounds like an amazing piece of headgear…at least on paper. It also seems a bit intimidating.

Set to roll out in September, the Tactic 3D Alpha will cost $59.99, while the Tactic 3D Sigma will ring up for $89.99.
