Dell Streak drops to $99.99 with contract at Best Buy
Summary: After popping up in Best Buy stores in October, the Dell Streak tablet is now significantly cheaper.
After popping up in Best Buy stores in October, the Dell Streak tablet is now significantly cheaper.
The Streak was previously available for $299.99 with a two-year service contract with AT&T. Now buyers will only have to fork over $99.99 and their signatures to a two-year agreement. The unlocked, unsubsidized price remains at $499.99.
Why the price drop? Best Buy hasn't revealed anything. It could be the holidays. Or maybe the device just isn't that popular (many Android-based tablets haven't been so far), and the mega-retailer wants to clear some stock before the New Year and some promised new slate PC debuts at CES 2011.

7 inches is the sweet spot for a tablet, and that's what I'm going to get.
