Dell Streak up for pre-sale now; will be available in 'late July'

Good news for all of you still waiting for the Dell Streak. It’s listed on Dell’s website, and a launch date is near.

Originally called the “Mini 5″ way back when it was debuted in January, the Android-powered tablet got an official name change in March. Other than some news about additional sizes planned for a future release, there hasn’t been much news about the 5-inch slate computer lately.

Now the Dell Streak is finally up for pre-order, with the note “available for purchase in late July” posted on the product description. Given that today is July 22, that narrows the wait time down significantly. Just give us an official release date already!

5inch? Naaahh...

I don't know about this. In a way it's too big for a phone (if you get one with 3G), and on the other hand, for a slate, it is too small to be of comfortable use.

Lately I have been experimenting with a cheapo 'Chinese'' table, an Eken M001, and at 7 inches, is just the right size.
I dunno...it's cool because it's big but it's almost TOO big. If that makes sense.
@LandonAB
size doesn't matter!!
I saw one the other day from somebody whose company develops apps for the product.
Nice screen,but it is a gen 1 product,so buyer beware.

Geee, how compelling, I simply must have one.

It looks like a clumsy iPhone wannabe that is way too big... Kinda reminds me of one of those giant, oversized. TV remotes.... Tacky is the best adjective I can think of.

I'm gonna call this one early... Its a Flop.
