Along with those universal, 3D-enabled Blu-ray players, Denon has also announced the release of six pairs of headphones, some of which are ready to control the iPad and iPhone 3GS.
The four stand-outs of the bunch are the AH-D510R, AH-D31OR, AH-C560R and AH-C260R. (Denon obviously hasn’t gotten too creative with naming their products.) This quartet are all fitted with a three-button remote and microphone system (as seen in the picture above) that is compatible with Apple Voice Control. Thus, they are ready for the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch and the current-gen Shuffle. While voice won’t be as necessary, iPad users should be able to control volume with these headsets.
The AH-NC800 headphones also shine amongst the crowd a bit extra as they boast noise-canceling technology - reducing ambient noise by 99%.
All of new over-ear headset designs incorporate something mentioned in the release dubbed the ”human factor,” based on anatomical measurements of the human head. Basically, there’s hardly any space between the over-ear band and the user’s head. This seems to be more for comfort than sound, but comfort does count for a lot when it comes to headphones.
Given that there are quite a few products in this release and they all have very similar code names, here’s a breakdown on pricing, release dates and design:
