Dr. Martens USB drive stomps out for 50th anniversary

By | August 13, 2010, 10:02am PDT

Summary: Dr. Martens is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and it’s rolling out a special USB drive in celebration. Not the first accessory one would have predicted for the boots brand, but it looks cool nonetheless.

Dr. Martens is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and it’s rolling out a special USB drive in celebration. Not the first accessory one would have predicted for the boots brand, but it looks cool nonetheless.

The limited edition drive is two inches tall, and owners can remove the top half of the boot for usage.

Note that it’s only available in a 2GB capacity for $25. While that’s certainly pricey for a 2GB flash drive, it’s certainly unique and probably necessary for any Doc Martens aficionado.

Punk finally caught up with Tech, did it ?
Skin-head chic just doesn't do it. A pair of these would hardly work for stomping someone to a pulp after last call.

I think if this were to have been released several years ago it would have got peoples heads turning. Now however it's different; USB pen drives/storage are everywhere and really this idea is a little bit too late to capture people's attention

I think this would make a perfect emergency boot drive.

(Oh, stop groaning. You know it had to be said.)
