From Opera (the browser) to Oprah (the TV show) fans

By | May 26, 2011, 11:08am PDT

Summary: Opera Software has some fun with Oprah (the television show) fan in emails that are accidentally sent to the Oslo-based tech company.

Among the lesser known facts about Opera, the Web browser from Norway: it’s been around since 1996 and has outlasted the likes of Netscape and Mosaic, is the go-to browser in Eastern Europe, and has also been responding to Oprah Winfrey’s fan emails according to Boing Boing.

Fans of the television show have been accidentally contacting the browser company “asking us questions, complaining or simply just opening up, telling us about their lives,” wrote Opera’s Espen André Øverdahl. To mark Oprah’s last show yesterday, Opera decided to dig through its inbox and share some funny conversations with Oprah fans. Enjoy!

That was simply fabulous... thanks for reporting it, and kudos to the Opera guys. Definitely the funniest thing I've read all day...
