For those of you lucky enough to be getting a Google Cr-48 Chrome notebook in the mail soon, there's an extra surprise in the box: stickers!

While there does appear to be a Google Chrome logo hidden in there, most of the decal designs are just plain colorful and fun. Users can obviously place these stickers in any arrangement they see fit, but the Chromebook pictured above from The Chrome Source is a bit reminiscent of a Trapper Keeper, but with a 2011 hipster feel.

It's certainly more fun than those random CPU and graphics card stickers you can never get off your laptop without leaving some sort of residue behind.

@Linux Geek Make sure they look similar to the stickers on my Windows 7 laptop - "Windows Powered Machine" and "No Linsux HERE".

Stickers?! What's next, put them in cereal boxes? Licensed Hannah Montana and Transformers versions?

Somebody better put an adult back in charge of the marketing department at Google.

How to "advertise" without actually advertising. Brilliant!

  • Love the Cr-48 Box Art

I'd like to get the box art for the Cr-48 blown up into a poser. The mouse powered/piloted jet engine plans rock!
