HBO Go heading to consoles, connected televisions

Summary: Joining Netflix and Hulu, HBO Go will soon make its way to connected televisions and game consoles.

For fans of HBO favorites like True Blood and Curb Your Enthusiasm, there are few things better than HBO Go, HBO’s own streaming service. And with the app version of the service netting over three million downloads by the end of June, its a fair assesment to say that there are a lot of fans of HBO out there.

And there will soon be more. Joining the ranks of Netflix and Hulu, HBO Go will soon make its way to connected televisions and game consoles. There’s no word on which of games consoles will get the service, but its fairly likely that both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will both be among them. Hopefully Time Warner will release some official news fairly soon.
