Hewlett-Packard has a mini-milestone to announce. The computer company is unveiling its first all-in-one desktop computer with a 60-degree reclining display.

The TouchSmart 9300 Elite PC can be toggled from the normal viewing position to almost flatten out. You might be wondering why this would be necessary, and HP offers the example that it would be good for businesses when working with consumers. That's possible, and it's always nice to have options, right?

The actual display is a 23-inch, wide-angle HD touch panel with LED backlighting. Aside from some optimized apps from Hulu, Netflix and Twitter, expect basic specs on this desktop machine. But at least they're customizable, so here's a snapshot:

  • Second-generation Intel Core processor options
  • Windows 7 operating system options
  • Up to 16GB of memory
  • Optional 160GB solid-state drive
  • Webcam

Pricing starts $899.99 when the consumer version of TouchSmart 9300 becomes available on February 9. The business-focused edition will be ready in May.

I'm a bit pissed. Dell convinced a member of my family to buy one of these junk all-in-one touch screens. I promptly told him he should send it back and get something that wasn't acting like a 3-year old warez-ed up celeron.
