HTC Desire, Legend going exclusively to Vodafone in the UK this April

After popping up for pre-order on Amazon UK very recently, the HTC Desire and HTC Legend now have an exclusive carrier across the pond: Vodafone.

The HTC Legend and HTC Desire (referred to as the HTC Droid Eris stateside) are supposed to be available for purchase on April 1. Not sure if that is only for the editions without subsidies yet. Vodafone hasn’t specified their release date yet, nor their (hopefully lower) prices.

Both of the HTC smartphones will come pre-loaded many of the typical Vodafone 360 services accessible directly from the HTC Sense user interface. Some of that includes Vodafone Music, MyWeb and access to the Android Marketplace.

Now the question is: When will that shiny HTC Legend finally get a US release date?

Why buy from Carphone Warehouse when you will have to pay ?140 for the handset on a ?30 a month, 18 month contract. You can get the same tarrif & contract length on mobilephonesdirect.co.uk but pay nothing for the phone + get ?40 auto cashback or free accessories. Only downside is because the phone is so popular you will likely get it delivered a week later than you would from Carphone Warehouse

Can I ask for the source of this info? I have been waiting for this phone to arrive in the UK and I was in an Orange shop last week and it is on their system as being available in April sometime. The only thing awaiting confirmation was the colour Orange were going to get black or brown and the exact launch date.
There are also lots of links on the net saying that T-Mobile will also carry this phone.
Well Orange state they will have it:

What about all the other UK operators that have confirmed
they will be releasing the phone too? T-Mobile, 3, Orange etc
etc... ???
