Mobile World Congress is a big event for just about all technology companies, and with the latest set of leaks, HTC appears to be no exception.
The company has at least two phones on the agenda for MWC 2012, report BGR and PocketNow. First, there’s the HTC Edge, a quad-core 1.5GHz NVIDA processor-featuring phone that promises to far out-power anything that comes before. The device is also said to be an impressive 8.8mm thick, just 1.1mm thicker the current Droid Razr.
Unsurprisingly, the Edge is also said to feature integrated Beats Audio, a la the Rezound. Clearly HTC is taking its deal with Beats Electronics very seriously.
Also in HTC’s MWC plans is a phone codenamed the HTC Ville. According to BGR, the Ville will be the first device to run Sense 4.0 on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Running on a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon Series 4 processor, the Ville will feature a 4.3-inch screen, 8-megapixel camera, and a 1,650 mAh battery. Like the Edge, the Ville will also feature integrated Beats Audio.
With MWC still two months away, it’s too early to say for sure when these devices will make their appearance in stores, though the current speculation says the Ville will launch around April of next year. The Edge should launch at a similar time.
