The Wii may be on its last legs, but don't tell that to Hulu.

The video streaming site hasjust gotten around to offering its Hulu Plus service on Nintendo's home console, two months after it had initially planned. Available as a free download on the Wii Channel, the Hulu Plus app brings all the familiar content with an interface well-suited for the Wii. Which basically means lots of pointing with the Wii Remote.

As for the 3DS version of Hulu Plus also promised for 2011, Hulu says that it will land later this year.

I don't get it... The Wii is going away and the 3Ds isn't, why build for the Wii now. Why not launch your channel with the Wii U.

@Peter Perry we use our Wii regularly and many many others do too. the fact that new consoles, etc. may be available soon does not mean we will suddenly drop the Wii to move to the new one. We still use the cube and the N64 from time to time. Lots of kids all want to play at the same time. we're not buying new consoles for each kid.

I still don't understand why they wouldn't have made it available for the 3DS now. Technology moves so fast, but manufactures move so slow to update devices. Ugh.
