Now that there is a new MacBook Air, HyperMac is up to the challenge for a new external battery to match.

The new MacBook Air is already highly portable to begin with, given the lightweight frame factor and an internal battery life that was semi-extended to five to seven hours.

But now with this new external battery courtesy of HyperMac, users can squeeze out a maximum of 37 and 38 hours of battery life for the 11- and 13-inch models respectively. Buyers have four power options to choose from: 60Wh ($199.95), 100Wh ($299.95), 150Wh ($399.95) and 222Wh ($499.95).

Don’t forget as these are connected via MagSafe power cables, you’re going to have to act fast because the company has to pull the plug (literally). These batteries will be on sale until midnight PT on November 2.

Right; way overpriced!

But... the article left out the most important part. WHY?
Why are they stopping selling them with the magnetic plug? Is it an Apple patent issue or what?
man these things are so overpriced. You can get a 88WH battery for about $50-$70 usually. so $500 for a 222WH pack is just ridiculous.
