Intel has a big year ahead with some new processors, including now the news of the release of the Core i3 Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) processor headed to ultra-thin laptops.
According to PC World, the Core i3 ULV chips will join the previously announced Core i5 ULV processors, although it isn't known if they'll be released and included in computers simultaneously. Right now, it's just known that the Core i3 ULV will appear in "second half of the year," in smaller laptops probably priced between $400 and $800.
However, the 32-nanometer CPUs should be both faster and lighter than the Atom series. PC World also mentions that ultra-thin laptop sales will be even bigger this year, so hopefully we'll see more about the Core i3/i5 ULV processors soon.
