Iomega 'Skin' portable hard drives are anything but boring

Summary: Iomega has unveiled a trio of 500GB external hard drives with some rocking designs that surely won’t go unnoticed.

Iomega has unveiled a trio of 500GB external hard drives with some rocking designs that surely won’t go unnoticed.

The uniquely-named “Skin” collection features three retro-meet-gothic looks that are imprinted directly on the USB 2.0-powered HDDs. So it’s not some silly sticker you’d get out of a machine at the supermarket that will eventually just curl up at the edges after awhile.

Securing your information appears to be just as important as external looks with these drives, as Iomega has included a drop guard protection that protects the drive from drops from up to 51-inches onto carpets, plus some backup and anti-virus software included for free. Otherwise, these Iomega portable drives are straight-forward with one capacity available.

Iomega’s Skin HDD collection is on sale in the U.S. now for $119.99 each, with a 3-year limited warranty included.
