I bought a Lenovo 3000 N200 after the power jack in my previous Toshiba laptop failed 3 times in 6 months. One of the reasons I picked that Lenovo was the design of its power jack, which is plugged into (not soldered onto) the motherboard by a flexible wire ribbon. I believe this is a superior design to the standard power jack soldered directly to the motherboard, used by most manufacturers. It's much less likely to fail and easier to repair should it prove faulty. I wish this would be mentioned in all laptop reviews.
