Augmented reality is coming to LG's Thrill 4G - and in three dimensions.

LG and Wikitude are teaming up to bring a three-dimensional version of Wikitude's augmented reality browser to LG's upcoming 3D smartphone, formerly known as the Optimus 3D.

Via the browser, Thrill 4G users will be able to see real-time information on landmarks and locations in 3D, a noticeable step up from other versions of the browser, which are comparably flat.

Wikitude says it maintains a database of over 100 million locations across the world. While its 3D software will land on the Thrill 4G first, is likely that other 3D phones will like the HTC EVO 3D will also see the application.

LG's Thrill 4G lands in Europe this summer, and in the U.S via AT&T later this year.
