Sony is expected to unveil its first Google TV product on October 12, but Logitech will debut its own products less than a week earlier.

An invitation has been sent out across the tech media universe revealing that Logitech will be holding a special event on Wednesday, October 6 in New York City, where the company will debut a "line of products" related to Google TV.

Logitech's Revue has already been named earlier this year as the Google TV companion, but Sony made it clear last month that the set-top box wouldn't be alone. Besides the Revue, it isn't known what Logitech will unveil, either various versions of the Revue, accessories or something new entirely.

Are you excited for the launch of Google TV this month and all of the goodies that will come along with it? Or is there another online TV streaming service you'd prefer to stick with?

I'm glad that Google TV came out sooner. I finally had the chance to get the Google TV and it works great. I work over at DISH Network, and that's where I first used Google TV. I like all the apps and the features. Then if you want to integrate with DISH Networks set top box to take advantage of the features it?s a $4.00 DVR service fee per month. With my receiver integrated, this thing searches my DVR viewing schedule by program title or actor name etc. It also searches the web, and pulls up on my DVR and internet and weather I want to record the show or look at info on it. The features are amazing and you will be happy with all this is capable of doing.
