Maingear has rolled out an updated version of their ex-L 15 gaming laptop. Certainly more powerful this time around, Maingear is also proclaiming it as the “fastest 15-inch HD gaming notebook on the market.”

The ex-L 15 is undoubtedly fast, powered by either Intel Core i5 or i7 32nm processors. Graphics are sure to be visually stunning, thanks to the incorporation of a ATI Radeon HD 5870 GPU and that 15-inch LED-backlit display, which can either host a 1920×1080 or 1600×900 resolution.

Buyers can also pick between eight different hard drive and SSD options, starting from a 250GB SATA 2.5-inch drive to a very pricey 512GB SSD.

Here’s a bit of what else is packed in the ex-L 15 notebook:

  • Windows 7 Premium OS
  • Up to 8GB of DDR3-1333 memory
  • DVD dual-layer drive or DVD/Blu-ray combo burner
  • Connectivity: Four USB ports, Firewire, DVI, HDMI, and S/PDIF audio out
  • Built-in webcam
  • Dual heatpipe cooling system

Maingear also promises “angelic” service should something terrible happen. How sweet.

Interested buyers can visit Maingear’s website to order a laptop now, with the base price set at $1,599, with a one-year hardware warranty. But if you’re planning to customize your machine with top-line specs, you could be looking at a receipt upwards of $4,000. Happy shopping.
