Given yesterday’s heroic debut of the LG Ally, little else was known about the company’s first Android-powered mobile phone other than the fact it was part of an Iron Man 2 media blitz.
But with the unveiling of a special website all of its own today, more details have emerged.
Running on Android OS 2.1, the LG Ally sports a 3.2-inch color touchscreen, a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard, a microSD slot and a rear built-in camera with flash. Based on the image gallery, that microSD slot supports cards at least up to 16GB. Social networking apps seem to be front and center, with Facebook and Twitter on the home screen, and apparently the wallpaper responds to touch.
The site itself is graphics-heavy with some futuristic, robotic sounds. And of course, Iron Man is ever present as well. Unfortunately, details are still on the thin side. We’ll keep the page bookmarked in case new specs pop up soon.
