Summary: MSI has just introduced the Wind Top AE2280 all-in-one desktop computer with a spec sheet rich in higher-end entertainment features.

MSI has just introduced the Wind Top AE2280 all-in-one desktop computer with a spec sheet rich in higher-end entertainment features.

The AE2280 is clearly geared at consumers primarily interested in using their computers for organizing and enjoying high definition (and 3D) media. For starters, the AE2280 is the “first” desktop to include THX TruStudio Pro audio technology, which is intended to bring the power of the theater home.

Media production, however, isn’t necessarily a cornerstone with this MSI machine, but there is some room for creativity. MSI has a trio of software options to choose from: YouCam (basic photo/video editing; uploading to Facebook/YouTube), YouPaint (touch-enabled painting software), and YouMemo (making personalized notes).

Otherwise, here are the really important specs on the MSI AE2280 to keep in mind:

  • 21.5-inch full HD widescreen, multi-touch display (16:9 aspect ratio)
  • Intel Core i3/i5 processor options with Turbo Boost
  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • 4GB of DDR3 memory
  • 640GB hard drive
  • ATI Radeon HD GPU options
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • HDMI support
  • 1.3-megapixel webcam

The Wind Top AE2280 is available now with a reasonable starting price tag: $949.99.
