For those consumers out there looking for a way to connect an eSATA external hard drive to a USB 3.0 port, Newer Technology has a solution.

The NewerTech adapter produces transfer speeds up to 5Gb/s between eSATA-connected drives and USB 3.0 sockets. A USB 3.0 cable is also included, but there is no need to install drivers or anything of that sort. It’s a plug-and-play operation that also supports USB 2.0.

Before you buy, know that this hardware accessory is compatible with Macs and PCs, and it supports 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch eSATA hard drives and solid state drives.

This eSATA to USB 3.0 adapter is available for purchase now with a retail price of $29.95.
