Nintendo 3DS arrives at JetBlue's Terminal 5 in New York JFK airport

JetBlue’s Terminal 5 at New York City’s JFK international airport is already well-known for being one of the best airport terminals in the country (if not the world). Now Nintendo is joining in on the T5 fun.

Nintendo trotted out the 3DS handheld gaming console on a demo pod tour across the country to celebrate the U.S. launch. Now JetBlue’s terminal has a “Nintendo 3DS grandstand where they can play games, enjoy 3D photos and participate in daily prize giveaways.”

This definitely isn’t the first time that gaming console makers have taken their products and make waiting for a delayed flight a little more bearable. For instance, I spotted this Sony PlayStation 3 stand in the Air France terminal at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle international airport last year. PS3 consoles are also installed at Hong Kong’s international airport and multiple other airports around the globe.

There’s already plenty of other amenities and restaurants to check out at T5, so now getting to the airport early is a priority if you’re flying out of New York on JetBlue. Now if only JetBlue could install Wi-Fi on its fleet ahead of schedule instead of the expected 2012 launch date…

I am sure that they have some sort of sales at Terminal 5 for the Nintendo 3DS, but is Nintendo going to stay there permanently or is this a rotating marketing pitch? Bronx self storage

Best airport in the world???
Bradish@... 23rd Apr 2011
A minor item but maybe you should get your passport out and come to Hong Kong or maybe Singapore and you will retract your comment on being the best in the world...in less time it takes to get your baggage...and all of it!
Was wondering if they are selling or doing follow up for sales at the terminals.

Jet Blue also just installed a new themed play zone at JFK provided by www.wowsoftscapes.com. Another way JB puts their passengers first!
