Nintendo 3DS doubles up on battery life with Nyko Power Pak+
Summary: When it was revealed last October that the Nintendo 3DS would have a significantly shorter battery life than its predecessors, no one was pleased. But that opens the door for third-parties to make some battery accessories.

First up is Nyko with the Power Pak+ and Charge Base. The items are sold separately, but it makes more sense just to buy the Base. Here's why.
The Power Pak+ replaces the original rear battery completely, doubling the juice life in the process. But the Charge Base is a standard docking station with LED indicator lights that "includes a Power Pak+ rechargeable battery pack." It's a few bucks more, but it just seems cost efficient to get the bundle.
The Power Pak+ will roll out the same day as the Nintendo 3DS itself on March 27 with a retail price of $19.99. The Charge Base will follow a week later for $29.99.
