AT&T has announced that it is bringing the Pantech Laser under its mobile phone wing, which measuring in 9.95mm thin means that this little guy is the slimmest device with a full sliding keyboard that AT&T has ever offered.

The Pantech Laser is a rather simple “messaging” device, so that full QWERTY keyboard should be useful for the texting demons.

Along with being able to record voice memos, the Pantech Laser sports a 3.1-inch AMOLED touch screen and a 3.0-megapixel camera.

Beginning October 17, the Pantech Laser will be available for $99.99 after $50 mail-in rebate that will be sent back in the form of an $50 AT&T Promotion Card. Don’t forget that interested buyers must sign a two-year agreement and pay $20 per month for messaging or a combo messaging/data plan.

AT&T and Verizon - fair fight coming
gmeader 12th Oct 2010
@PokeAsheep I can't wait for all the iPhone users to switch to Verizon. Then the Verizon network will be slammed and brought to its knees, just like AT&T's network was when the iPhone appeared. The reduced load on AT&T means we'll get great connectivity -- as it used to be pre-iPhone. Or at least the comparisons between networks will be fair, with the same device (and bandwidth usage?) on each.
It's sad to see cute/nice feature phones go to AT&T. Actually it's sad to see anything go to AT&T. They're not long for this world though, with the iphone headed to verison
