Philips and O’Neill have partnered up to design a quartet of headphones that blend durability and comfort, with a splash of style for good measure.

Each of the new headsets have been tested by the “toughest O’Neill team riders.” Given that the brand is known for snow, sun and other extreme sporting apparel, that probably means some really tough testing.

The baddest boy in the line-up is the Stretch (pictured above), which is very flexible and stress-crack resistant in temperatures up to -250C/-418F.

The Stretch is followed up by the Snug headset, folds up flat and should be easy to stuff in any bag when traveling. Two pairs of colorful earbuds, the Covert and the Specked, round out the set.

Introduced at IFA 2010 in Berlin, all of the new Philips/O’Neill headphone sets will roll out in September. Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet.
