Photos, details surface on unannounced Acer Aspire One 521 netbook
While Acer hasn't gotten official about this portable computer yet, gadget sites are running wild (well, not as wild as with the iPhone 4G) about some photos and details about the unannounced Aspire One 521.
According to tech blog Macles, this 10.1-inch netbook will be powered by a AMD V105 processor and have the option for Bluetooth 3.0+HS support.
That processor isn't exactly the fastest of the bunch either, clocking in at 1.2GHz, with 512KB L2 cache, DDR3 support and 9W TDP. Also packed into the Aspire One 521 include an AMD M880G chipset, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics and 384MB of dedicated video memory.
The top's design on this ultra-portable laptop is slightly different from previous editions as well. It's sleek, but I'm not sure if I like the brand name that big across the top. Even for a tiny computer, it feels a bit like a billboard.
Unfortunately, there's no hint at a price or release date, both of which probably won't happen until Acer comes clean about this netbook.
