Images of what appears to be HTC's new line-up of smartphones have been leaked and have everyone buzzing about what these models could be.

Published first by PocketNow, we should be seeing more of these handhelds at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. But until then, let's go over what we have here.

First, the smartphone to the left in the image above has most tech followers speculating that this is an evolution of the Desire HD, except now with a front-facing camera and touch-sensitive buttons. To the right, we have a smaller handheld that looks like a spitting image of the Nexus One with that center trackball - except the entire design is far sleeker.

Not pictured here are a pair of buttonless smartphones (which you can check out here). These ones are mysterious because the mock-ups honestly don't look real, even with HTC and Verizon logos emblazoned at the top. There's also a potential Aria 2 (also identified as the A3380, which is already selling in Asia). Obvious specs here are a front-facing camera, touch-sensitive menu buttons, an optical D-Pad in the bottom center flanked by call start and end buttons.

Continuing on, there is a rectangular, Android-based device with a front-facing camera and possibly 4.3-inch display predicted to be headed for China. Lastly, we have a potential HTC Smart 2, which has the most bizarre button configuration of them all.

It's not more than images, some obvious buttons and speculation for now, but it sure has us excited for MWC 2011 in February.
