After making an appearance at CES 2010, it was expected that the Plastic Logic QUE proReader would be shipping in mid-April. Now, that is not the case.
An email went out to eager buyers who already pre-ordered the e-reader device, bringing the bad news that now Que would be delayed until some unspecified date this summer. At least Plastic Logic is springing for the shipping costs now.
Plastic Logic attributed the delay to technical work and optimization, saying that they want “customers to have an optimal experience when Que ships.”
Even though the Que is targeted toward a professional crowd, it will put a dent in the budget with prices starting at $649. How will the Que proReader stack up against a whole slew of e-book readers that will have already been released for a few months? We’ll find out soon enough.
