Samsung debuts special edition 'Barbie' X-Series notebook

By | May 10, 2010, 2:31am PDT

Summary: Samsung has issued a special edition of their X170 notebook, available in either black or hot pink with a vintage Barbie logo emblazoned in the corner.

If the new HP Mini 210 netbooks unveiled last week were too bright or frilly for you, watch out for what Samsung has just debuted.

The Seoul-based company has issued a special edition of their X170 notebook, available in either black or hot pink with a Barbie logo emblazoned in the corner.

To be honest, the design could have been worse. While it might not be something I’d buy, the logo has a vintage touch and it’s not covering the entire top of the notebook.

The specs on this ultra-slim and light laptop aren’t too bad either, powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and hosting a 500GB hard drive with 4GB of RAM. The Barbie-version of the X170 will reportedly sell for $1,150.
