The Galaxy Tab surely will be a portable device to be thrown into whichever bag you like now that Corning has announced that the tablet will be getting its Gorilla glass protection for the Super AMOLED display. Gorilla glass is known for being a durable and thin piece of material that is damage- and scratch-resistant.

This isn't to say you should let your Galaxy Tab fall onto the ground often (or at all), but it might save you a few bucks on buying an extra plastic screen protector.
