From a small, portable Blu-ray player…to this. Samsung’s 65-inch UN65C8000, full HD 3D LED display, is ready to ship to over-sized living rooms today.

The TV behemoth is an ultra-thin display with a 240Hz refresh rate, a 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a built-in 3D processor, dimming technology, Wi-Fi, and support for Samsung Apps. Samsung suggests using the UN65C8000 as one big video phone if that fits your fancy. It’s like the person on the other line is almost there!

Hope you have $5,999.99 lying around as this is one pricey television set.

Well that is a nice piece of equipment! Too pricey for my frugal ways but I'd like to see one and try out the 3D. Wondering how much 3D media there is and how fast the library is growing. Alternately, the videophone idea is swell, if it's a 3D videophone.
