Sling Media currently tackling streaming access issues

Those of you who own a Slingbox might have been (or still are) experiencing problems when trying to access the streaming service, and Sling Media is still trying to resolve the issues.

According to Crave over on our sister site CNET, problems accessing Slingbox’s streaming service started as early as last Tuesday due to a “data migration process,” and some users are still having difficulty when using the browser plug-in window.

Personally, I’m able to access my Slingbox content at the moment, but it’s not always perfect. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be a definite timeline yet as to when the issues are expected to be resolved. Until then, Slingbox users will probably just have to keep hitting refresh until it clicks or check out the related thread on the Slingbox Answers Forum.

Problems until Thursday?
brandonc 8th Aug 2010
I saw posts there and also here http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/forum/general-place-shifting-discussions/sling-media-slingplayer-goes-down-fail/#p1665 that it may be as late as Thursday until this problem is fixed.
Alot of unhappy users right now. sad
I have the Sling box that I use and I think it works great. I first got this from DISH where I work. I will say that the issues I have is like in some area's where the Wi-Fi connection or service is weaker it can cause a bit of delay but other than that it works fine. I think it's just like a cell phone you go in some spots and the reception is not good. I have no complaints it works fabulous and I have no complaints. I recommend this to all who want a true TV Everywhere experience.
